Also when checking your firewall make sure you check all firewall rules at all of your locations including with your internet provider, including firewall rules which may be set on a schedule to run at different times of the day, or weekends.
If your firewall is blocking Backup Intelligence you may see connection warnings, XML or time warnings in the backup log.
