Input/Output Error

The Input/Output error message may indicate a drive failure on the device you are backing up. You are the best ruling out this possibility.

You can check if your drive has failed by either:

  • Running a SMART scan on the disk.
  • Checking if you can view these affected files in Finder or Windows File Explorer.
